DUPIXENT

Take control of your eczema with DUPIXENT for severe atopic dermatitis

More than one million American adults are living with uncontrolled moderate to severe eczema or atopic dermatitis. If you are among them, you may be feeling very frustrated with the ineffectiveness of your current eczema treatment. Fortunately, a new type of medication called DUPIXENT may be able to help.

How DUPIXENT Works

DUPIXENT works by inhibiting the action of interleukin-4 and interleukin-13. These proteins play a major role in the chronic inflammation that characterizes severe atopic dermatitis. By reducing the overactive signaling of these proteins, DUPIXENT helps reduce inflammation and clear skin lesions. DUPIXENT is an excellent alternative to topical immunosuppressants like cyclosporine and methotrexate, both of which can cause side effects with prolonged use.

Treatment with DUPIXENT

DUPIXENT is administered as a subcutaneous injection. After learning the correct way to inject DUPIXENT from your allergy doctor, you will be able to administer these injections at home using single-dose pre-filled syringes. The frequency of dosages will be determined by your doctor. Although DUPIXENT can be used with or without a topical corticosteroid, some studies have shown that the injections are more effective in clearing skin lesions when patients use both treatments.

Is DUPIXENT Safe?

DUPIXENT has been approved by the FDA for use by adults over 18. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated in global clinical trials. Certain side effects including injection site reactions, eye problems, cold sores, and allergic reactions are possible with DUPIXENT.
